Nominate your Community Heroes!

Now is your chance to help recognise those special individuals who go above and beyond quietly making a difference, lending a hand and making a real impact in Hedge End.
We are proud to announce the return of our Serving the Community Award and Young Persons Serving the Community Award.
Last year’s winner Margot Bullwinkle (pictured above) had been a dedicated volunteer with GirlGuiding in Hedge End for almost 40 years, inspiring those children who were lucky enough to be supported by her.
Alisha Butts won the Young Persons Serving the Community Award for her dedication to assisting young individuals with mild to moderate learning difficulties who are members of the council run Friday Night Project.
Winners are presented with a £100 gift voucher of their choice, with a £50 gift voucher for the Young Persons Award.
Some examples of worthy candidates could be:
- Volunteers who dedicate time to helping others
- Young people leading change or being an inspiration
- Community organisers – perhaps those running clubs or activities
- Unsung heros who rarely seek recognition for their good deeds
Nominating someone is quick and easy. Simply fill out the application form (below) and send it in. We would love to hear from you!
