New Tree Donated at Norman Rodaway

We would like to thank Snows Toyota in Hedge End and Sarisbury Green for donating towards a replacement tree at the Norman Rodaway Sports Ground.

The Fagus sylvatica ‘Aniek’, a variety of beech tree, has taken the place of one that was vandalised during the summer. The tree, which had been newly planted, had been broken in half and destroyed.

Olivia Snow, brand and marketing manager for the group said: “We thought it was such a shame when we read that the tree had been vandalised and wanted to do something to help. As a family-run business we try to give back and support the local community where we can.”

The new tree was planted last week.

Hedge End Town Council’s Operations Manager Brett Athow said “Tree planting is so important for the environment and general health and wellbeing of people in Hedge End. It was very disheartening to see that this tree had been deliberately targeted by vandals. We would like to thank Snows Toyota for supporting us and the community in this way.”

Snows Toyota is a family business started by Olivia’s grandfather more than 60 years ago.
