Lest We Forget

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Remembrance Sunday Parade to honour all those who gave their lives for our freedom.

Attendees marched along St John’s Road where a service and two minutes’ silence was held at the War Memorial led by the Rev’d Phil Aindow from St John’s Church. Chair of Hedge End Town Council Cllr. Ron Nichols laid a wreath on behalf of councillors and staff.

He said “It was wonderful to see a large turnout of people, especially so many young children participating in and supporting the event.”

Cllr. Ron Nichols was joined by Cllr. Ian Corben who laid a wreath on behalf of Eastleigh Borough Council (first photo below) and Cllr. Leigh Hadaway, Cllr. John Jupe, Cllr. John Shepherd and the Town Clerk. The annual parade and service was attended by veterans, cadets, school children and uniformed groups.
