Co-Option to the Town Council
The Town Council is looking to co-opt a person as a Councillor for the Village Ward who will serve in that role until the next Town Council election in May 2027. The Town Council meets monthly (except August) with committees also meeting monthly except Highways & Planning which meets twice a month.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A Commonwealth citizen, or a citizen of the Republic of Ireland,
- Be 18 years or over,
- An elector of the Parish, or
- During the whole of the last 12 months has either occupied as owner or tenant land or other premises in the parish, or
- Has a principal or only place of work in the Parish, or lives within 4.8 kilometres (three miles) of the Parish boundary.

Applications must be received no later than 11th November 2026.
