Co-Option to the Town Council
Co-Option to be a Town Councillor for Berry Ward
The Town Council is looking to co-opt a person as a Councillor who will serve in that role until the next Town Council election in May 2027. The Town Council meets monthly (except August) with committees also meeting monthly except Highways & Planning which meets twice a month.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A Commonwealth citizen, or a citizen of the Republic of Ireland,
- Be 18 years or over,
- An elector of the Parish, or
- During the whole of the last 12 months has either occupied as owner or tenant land or other premises in the parish, or
- Has a principal or only place of work in the Parish, or lives within 4.8 kilometres (three miles) of the Parish boundary.

Applications must be received no later than Monday 15th December.
