The Town Council run all of the publicly available football pitches in the town.


Most of the time on these pitches is booked to the various clubs who run football teams.

 

All the pitches have changing facilities nearby.

 

 

 

The football pitches are as follows:

 

  • Norman Rodaway Playing Field

    2 senior pitches
    2 junior pitches

  • Greta Park

    2 senior pitches

  • Woodhouse Lane Playing Field

    2 junior pitches

  • Turnpike Way Playing Field

    2 junior pitches


Play at any of these must be booked via the Town Council Office.

In addition, there are many kick-about areas around the town which do not require to be booked.

If you want to watch 1st class cricket, you might want to visit the Hampshire Rosebowl, home of Hampshire Cricket, which is barely 2 miles away.

There are a number of cricket venues in Hedge End and due to incredible popularity they are  fully booked every day of the week by local cricket clubs.

The cricket pitches are as follows:

  •  Woodhouse Lane Playing Field
  •  Turnpike Way Playing Field (artificial wicket)
